Rumbo al 8M para conmemorar el Día Internacional de las Mujeres, en Querétaro representantes de colectivas feministas exigieron a los partidos y actores políticos a no utilizar esta fecha y este movimiento con fines electorales, así mismo a no definirse como feministas sin ser congruentes con ello. La activista del Frente Feminista Nacional, Dalia Banda Flores, refirió que no debe ser una fecha motivo para un festejo ya que es alusiva a una tragedia, en donde cientos de mujeres perdieron la vida por defender sus derechos laborales, motivo por el que demandó no celebrar sino conmemorar y resinificar la lucha de las mujeres y sus derechos, pero sobre todo no darle un uso político.
